April 2011 was a very active month in Tbilisi. The Georgian Sustainable Energy Week was organised locally by the Energy Efficient Centre Georgia with support from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia and in partnership with BP Georgia, USAID Winrock International, EU Commission and Tbilisi City Hall. During the week several multi-player events were planned for the popularization of clean energy technologies throughout Georgia.
Furthermore, during the Municipal Intelligent Energy Days, the European Display Campaign was launched and several presentations were done in primary schools in order to raise awareness and show the energy performance of public buildings to the pupils. This was followed by a quiz for pupils as well as a technological exhibition on renewable and energy efficient technologies.

In the framework of the Municipal Intelligent Energy Day, another event was with joint support from Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Technical University of Georgia and the “Energy Efficiency Center Georgia”. The purpose was to raise awareness and inform students from the Architecture and Construction Departments related to activities carried out within the MODEL-CIUDAD project.
